I accept medicolegal instructions as an expert witness in psychiatry

I have provided extensive written and oral evidence in a variety of medicolegal settings including to the first tier Mental Health Act tribunal, parole hearings, the Magistrates and Crown Court and Court of Protection. This includes the application of the Mental Health Act, the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS), fitness to plead and the role of psychiatric defences such as the insantiy defence and diminished responsibility.
